A widget is a code snippet that can be embedded into a website to display specific content or functionality. In the case of our digital guest shop, our widget simply allows the product selection to be displayed directly on the member business's website.
How do you embed a widget?
In most cases, this is a simple process that takes only a few minutes and requires no in-depth programming knowledge. Since it depends on which system is used to create the website (e.g., Typo3, WordPress, Joomla, a site builder, or an individually programmed site): Here are the basic steps, which are similar for most website systems:
- Copy code: Copy the received widget code in its entirety.
- Edit website: Open the page where you want the widget to appear in edit mode.
- HTML view: Switch to the HTML or source code editor of the page. (The name may vary depending on the system.)
- Insert code: Paste the copied widget code into the desired location in the source code.
- Save: Save the changes.
Since the exact steps can vary, I recommend contacting the technical support of the respective website system or the provider of the widget code if you have specific questions.
What are the next steps
As soon as you have embedded the widget code on your homepage, we can activate your personalized member account. And this is how it works:
- Sign up for your account at 4betterdays.com.
- Confirm your email address and then activate your UaB guest shop via your member account.
- Confirm the welcome email that you receive. This is important so that we can seamlessly connect your commission account with your widget code (your guest shop on your website).
As soon as you have confirmed everything, we will link your shop directly to your commission account within 24 hours. From that moment on, you will have full access to it.
