Climate Neutrality Alliance 2025
We are a member of the Climate Neutrality Alliance 2025. We have committed to reducing our corporate footprint to neutrality. Why do we do it? Because we believe the future of ALL is important and consider it our responsibility to make a positive contribution.
The Climate Neutrality Alliance 2025 has existed since 2013. Ten companies from Vorarlberg have developed a roadmap in cooperation with Prof. DDr. F. J. Radermacher, which makes it easier for companies to become climate neutral within a maximum of 12 years and thus still achieve the United Nations climate goal of 1.5 °C. A climate-neutral company has identified the greenhouse gas emissions from its value chain, reduced them as far as possible, and offset the remaining emissions by supporting a climate protection project.
Within the company, the most important emitters are identified in relation to the operation, i.e., the company itself (without classic production). This includes, for example, electricity consumption, consumption for heating and cooling, information about the fleet, about business trips, about employee commuting, … This allows one to identify the largest consumption areas and also the biggest levers to reduce your corporate footprint. The goal is to save as much as possible yourself and only offset the unavoidable emissions by supporting high-quality climate protection projects
Environment, nature and life - our sustainable business
Exactly 34 years after the founding of the German Environmental Foundation, we have been a member of the economic council of Germany's largest and oldest citizens' foundation since March 2016. Founded in Mainz in March 1982 by Hans Günter Schumacher, the motto "Hope through action" is attempted by the over 2,400 donors to be incorporated into their everyday lives. "A lot has been talked and written about environmental protection in recent decades. And yet: More than ever, animals and plants are being wiped out and the overexploitation of our natural foundations of life continues unabated.
To counteract this development is a challenge for each of us. Environmental and nature conservation must become the guiding principle of all actions: in politics and research, in kindergartens, schools, universities and churches, at home and in the workplace. To promote and consolidate this learning process is a vital task. For this, the German Environmental Foundation has taken on, for this we have been committed for over 30 years!" It is important to us that our very young, but for many also viewed critically Philosophy is complemented by the values of the German Environmental Foundation. We are proud not only to represent these values in our own business life, but also to make our contribution here as a member.
To this end, we also cordially invite our customers, friends, partners and suppliers. In this sense, simply "Live Naturally" and Everything Will Be Fine.
GLOBAL 2000 - Our Cooperation Partner 2017
GLOBAL 2000 is Austria's leading, independent environmental protection organization and a cooperation partner of 4betterdays.com since 2016. As an active part of Friends of the Earth International (FOEI), GLOBAL 2000 fights for an intact environment, a sustainable society and sustainable business. Active environmental protection means a better quality of life. Environmental protection means taking responsibility and advocating for a healthy and livable environment. The environment needs protection – and now!
Austria: 100 Percent Nuclear-Free Electricity
After years of struggle, Austria became the first country to implement a complete electricity labeling system: nuclear electricity gets a label and can no longer hide behind "grey electricity" / "electricity of unknown origin". The tricks of the domestic energy suppliers are exposed, the conscious and transparent decision for clean, independent green electricity becomes possible.
Genetic Engineering
In March 2015, after years of struggle, an EU directive was adopted that allows member states to ban the cultivation of genetically modified plants, even if they are approved at the EU level. Over 1.2 million Austrians have spoken out against genetic engineering on Austrian fields and on Austrian plates. We continue to advocate that not only in Austria, but also throughout the EU, genetically modified crop cultivation no longer has a chance.
Climate Protection
After our SOS Climate campaign, Austria received a climate protection law in 2011. Unfortunately, it is a law with many weaknesses, but since then we have been represented in the national climate protection advisory board and advise the Austrian federal government on the implementation of climate policy. We can thus work towards a better climate policy in Austria not only from the outside, but also from the inside.
GLOBAL 2000 Exposes
GLOBAL 2000 consistently and critically monitors environmental policy developments and their effects on our daily lives. Thus, toxic waste scandals were exposed, the lead contamination of drinking water in old buildings brought to light, supermarkets confronted with their sales of illegal tropical wood, the massive contamination of Spanish paprika with pesticides discovered. GLOBAL 2000 ensures that all these grievances and accidents come to light, they pressure the responsible authorities and use all legal measures to move politics and business to rethink.
GLOBAL 2000 Takes a Stand
GLOBAL 2000 not only exposes, but also offers scientifically sound alternative solutions to politics and business. To this end, GLOBAL 2000 creates studies, conducts product tests and publishes the results. Since 1994, GLOBAL 2000 has been investigating the dangers of genetic engineering in agriculture and developing solutions for less pesticides in conventional agriculture. Food and its packaging are analyzed for dangerous chemical residues.
Successes of GLOBAL 2000
1. No power increase at the Gundremmingen nuclear power plant (Bavaria). With the help of 17,000 signatures from supporters, GLOBAL 2000 was able to prevent the power increase of the last two boiling water reactors in Germany. The application was withdrawn by the operator.
2. End for hormone-active BPA in baby pacifiers. The tests by GLOBAL 2000 proved the hormone-active chemical BPA (Bisphenol A) in nine out of ten baby pacifiers. The trade subsequently recalled all affected brands, the affected manufacturers converted their production. Austria was the first country to issue a BPA ban in pacifiers
3. Bread wheat may no longer be treated with glyphosate. The investigations by GLOBAL 2000 revealed that three out of ten Austrians have traces of the herbicide glyphosate (now classified as probably carcinogenic by the WHO) in their urine. The cause for this is the "pre-harvest treatments" of bread wheat with glyphosate allowed in Austria. This practice had to be banned by the agriculture minister three months after our glyphosate tests.
4. No bee killers in winter crops. In the summer of 2013, the agriculture minister bans the use of the bee-harming neonicotinoids for winter crops, which cover the lion's share of Austrian arable land. This neonic ban goes beyond the EU-wide bans and was one of our demands.
5. Resistance against free trade agreements. Since the start of the TTIP negotiations in July 2013, GLOBAL 2000 has been drawing attention to the fact that our environment is in danger due to the planned trade agreement between the EU and the USA. The negotiations are increasingly stalling due to enormous resistance here in Austria, but also across the EU and across the Atlantic. In April 2015, on the occasion of the global action day against TTIP and Co, 15,000 people alone in Vienna took to the streets. TTIP is still not finished being negotiated. And CETA, the agreement between the EU and Canada, is theoretically finished being negotiated, but not yet ratified. Both can still be stopped.

Give bees a home - In cooperation with Greenpeace CEE.
Due to increasing settlement, the bees are losing their habitat. We must do something about it and YOU can help! A bee hotel in your garden gives them a new nesting place. And we go one step further: For every bee hotel sold, €5 will be passed on as a donation to Greenpeace in Central and Eastern Europe.
Together we save the bees!
