Our stylish bread box made from regional Swiss stone pine wood is crafted entirely by hand.
Unlike metal or plastic, wood regulates moisture. The grid ensures optimal air circulation for your baked goods - keeping your favorite bread fresh and delicious.

Tip: The scent of the Swiss stone pine's essential oils is very intense in new products. If you do not want the stored bread to absorb too much of the Swiss stone pine scent, simply leave the bread box open for a few days to 'air out'.

Attention: To ensure optimal moisture levels, it is essential to ventilate the bread regularly. Ideally, open the bread box completely at least 2 times a day and regularly remove crumbs from the bread box itself, cleaning it with a dry cloth.

Material & Workmanship

The wood is carefully selected for the highest quality to prevent the box from warping. The Swiss stone pine wood remains natural to preserve all its special properties. At the beginning, the Swiss stone pine scent is very strong and will weaken over time in a dry room. Wood is also a genuine natural product and will darken over time.

Cleaning

To clean the bread box, simply wipe it with a damp cloth to preserve the natural wood's self-cleaning effect. Cleaning the bread box will reactivate the intensity of the Swiss stone pine scent. Please be sure to let the bread box dry properly before closing it and, if necessary, let it 'air out' again for a few days. For heavier soiling, the surface can be polished with very fine-grit sandpaper.

The baker's linen bread cloth

The (handmade) bread cloth woven in a traditional Austrian company from genuine natural baker's linen is ideal for covering baked goods (dough) during the resting and proofing stages. It does not stick to the dough and protects the dough from drying out too much. For special breads, rolls, and baked goods with a great crust.

Made in Austria

Only flax grown in Europe is used to make the bread cloth. The raw material (flax) comes from France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. All fabrics are woven in Austria.


The special dough cloth

The dough cloth, also known as a baking cloth, is used during the resting/proofing stage. It prevents the dough from drying out while maintaining a constant temperature. In addition, the natural linen fabric provides support for soft dough pieces.

With this linen cloth, you protect your bread from drying out and avoid using unnecessary paper or plastic bags for storage. This keeps your rolls fresh for longer. This sturdy linen retains moisture while ensuring good air circulation.

ATTENTION! The linen is processed in its raw state and will shrink by approx. 10% during the first wash (40°C), reaching the stated size.
