Tip: The scent of Swiss stone pine essential oils is very strong in new products. If you don’t want the stored bread to take on too much of the pine scent, simply leave the bread box open for a few days to air out.

Unlike metal or plastic, Swiss stone pine regulates moisture. The rack ensures optimal air circulation for your baked goods—your bread stays fresh and delicious for a long time in this high-quality bread box.

The wood is carefully selected for its superior quality to ensure that the box does not warp. The Swiss stone pine is left untreated to preserve all its special properties. At first, the pine scent is very strong and will fade over time in a dry room. Wood is also a true natural product and darkens over time.

The included Swiss stone pine insert rack ensures optimal air circulation around the baked goods when the box is closed.

Caution: To ensure optimal moisture balance, it is essential to air the bread regularly. Ideally, open the bread box completely at least twice a day, and regularly remove crumbs from the box itself and clean it with a dry cloth.

Cleaning

To clean the bread box, simply wipe it with a damp cloth to preserve the self-cleaning properties of the natural wood. Cleaning the bread box with a damp cloth will reinvigorate the Swiss stone pine scent. Be sure to let the bread box dry thoroughly before closing it, and if necessary, leave it open for a few more days to air out. For heavier soiling, the surface can be polished with very fine-grit sandpaper. 


Beeswax wrap

• All fabrics are certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
• 100% pure beeswax from Bichler organic beekeeping in Rettenschöss, Kaiserwinkel
• 100% pure, cold-pressed and unrefined organic jojoba oil, certified organic by the Soil Association
• A little tree resin is also needed, harvested using traditional methods at a small pitchworks in Lower Austria
