The handle

The hatchet handle is made from ash wood and is ergonomically designed, so it fits particularly well in the hand and makes work easier. Ash, a valuable raw material, grows throughout most of Europe, especially in the northern Alpine foothills, and is one of the most important hardwoods. The wood is very dense and hard, yet its high elasticity makes it easy to work with. Thanks to its excellent mechanical properties, ash is ideal for high-quality garden and outdoor tools. It is strong and durable, and pleasant to the touch. The wood is varnished to provide better protection against moisture and dirt.
 

The hatchet blade

The camping hatchet blade is made from hand-forged Swedish steel, which is highly durable and robust thanks to its special treatment. Its sharp, precise edge delivers accurate results from the very first use.

Proper blade maintenance is especially important for handmade tools. We have put together detailed instructions for peening and sharpening the edge.
