This sustainable clothes airer is practical, sturdy and beautiful. What’s more, it is made entirely by hand in a nonprofit workshop in Germany.

Materials/Construction

The clothes airer is made from untreated ash. Ash is an ideal wood when a piece of furniture needs to be strong, sturdy and yet flexible. The locally sourced wood has a fine grain, which ensures high strength. It is also easy to work with, allowing for fine details. The ash is generously thick, making the folding clothes dryer very sturdy and able to hold several wet garments. The joints move smoothly on recessed stainless steel Allen screws. The drying lines are made of reinforced plastic cord and are durable.
