Our high-quality 'Veggie' raised bed is 80 cm high. The product is made from locally sourced Alpine larch. Larch is ideal for outdoor use, as the wood is highly resistant to wind and weather. The foundation frames are carefully galvanized, and the steel used offers exceptional stability. There is no contact with the ground, so rot cannot develop. The outer handrail is curved to allow rainwater to drain away easily.

Materials & workmanship

• The larch boards are expertly finished, smoothly planed and sturdy. An additional board runs around the top edge as a finishing trim.
• Larch has long been a popular choice for outdoor use. It grows at high elevations in the Alpine region and is particularly well suited to exposure to wind and weather.
• Larch wood contains many natural compounds and resins that contribute to its service life and durability.
• The steel foundation is unique in Europe. It prevents direct contact between the soil and the wood, thereby preventing rot in the raised bed. It also incorporates a slug barrier that naturally and gently keeps these unwelcome visitors away from your plants.

• Sow or plant 3–4 weeks earlier. Also provides year-round protection from hail and heavy rain.

• Assembly requires no clips, ensuring exceptional stability
• The roof panels can also be removed if needed

Window opener

• No electrical connection or batteries required
• The piston is filled with a special oil-wax mixture that expands when heated
• This automatically opens or closes the lid. The entire construction is made of rust-resistant materials, and all the hardware needed to install it in our cold frame attachment is included.
• However, it should be removed in winter to prevent frost damage.
