Tip: To help your mini garden thrive optimally, you will find instructions on the topic - How do I fill my raised bed correctly?
This high-quality 'Veggie' raised bed has a filling height of 80 cm. The product is made from domestic mountain larch. Larch is suitable for outdoor use because it is highly resistant to wind and weather. The foundation frames are elaborately galvanized. There is no contact with the soil, so no rot occurs and the herbs and plants remain fresh for longer. This raised bed is extremely stable thanks to the steel foundation frames. The outer handrail is curved and serves to drain water.
Advantages of the raised bed:
- There is no contact with the soil due to the galvanized and unique foundation frame
- Water can drain optimally through the curved handrail.
- No snail infestation thanks to the galvanized snail guard.
- No voles thanks to the rodent mesh.
- Very long-lasting due to the inner wall, which is protected by a bubble foil.
- Very stable thanks to solid corner posts and 27mm larch wood boards.
Material & Workmanship
- The larch boards of this raised bed are high-quality and stable. An additional board is attached around the top edge as a finish. All the boards are very carefully planed.
- The steel foundation is a unique feature across Europe, which prevents direct contact between soil and wood and thus prevents rot in the raised bed. In addition, a snail stop is built into the foundation, which keeps unwanted visitors away from plants in a natural & gentle way.
Larch
- Larch wood has long been a popular choice for outdoor use. Larch grows in the Alpine region at very high altitudes and is particularly suitable for use in wind and weather.
- Larch wood contains many components and resins. These have a beneficial effect on its lifespan and durability.
Scope of delivery
- Rodent mesh: A vole mesh is included in the delivery. It is laid on the ground and attached to the side walls. The vole mesh prevents rodents from entering the inside of the raised bed.
- Steel foundation with snail stop: stable support, keeps moisture away from the wood, the shape on the outside blocks snails
- Wooden posts, wall boards and handrail
- Bubble foil: In addition, bubble foil is included, which is attached to the inside of the side walls. The bubble foil seals the raised bed and prevents the contact of organic material with the wood.
