Chest of drawers 'Treasure Chest' | with drawers | solid Swiss stone pine | W 57.5 or 95 x D 35 x H 87 cm | Made in Austria

A chest of drawers – many functions.
The earliest known chests of drawers were special sacristy cabinets and archive or cabinet chests with wide drawers. Over time, these practical and well-organized pieces of furniture replaced the traditional chest.
Today, chests of drawers come in a wide variety of drawer sizes and shapes and remain highly popular.
Our ‘Schatzkiste’ chest of drawers is designed for storing smaller items. Whether as a sideboard with storage for everything needed around the dining table, a jewelry box, a storage compartment for small items in the living room or entrance hall, or an office organizer, it is a great help. Our Schatzkiste is a real eye-catcher and enchants not only lovers of order. Details such as the silver-colored shell handles and dovetailed drawers show how much craftsmanship and care went into making this sideboard.

For over 145 years, the family-run craft business from East Tyrol has combined traditional craftsmanship with modern design. It uses exclusively wood from the Alpine region, some of which comes directly from the local area. A great result from the design and craft workshop is the ‘Schatzkiste’ chest of drawers made of untreated solid Swiss stone pine. This masterpiece of domestic wood in an exciting design is a contemporary interpretation of old designs.
The drawers of various sizes require no hinges, as they are guided by the full-length side panels and bottoms. The silver-colored shell handles are screwed onto the front and give the piece of furniture its special touch. The shape of the side panels ensures a stable base for this space-saving piece. Thanks to the circular cutout, the side panels look like legs with only occasional contact with the floor.
