Madonna of Hope with Child | Solid wood figure | available in various finishes and sizes | Made in South Tyrol

In the Catholic and Orthodox Church, saints have a long tradition and are depicted as sculptures or in images. Believers invoke the saints so that they may intercede. The figures are an important element for faithful people not only during the Christmas season but throughout the entire year. The depiction of Mary as the Mother of God, with or without child, is also called a Marian image or Madonna portrait. Saint Mary is a symbol of innocence and the immaculate conception. This classic depiction of the Mother of God with the infant Jesus is crafted from solid wood and hand-painted. The Madonna with Child is available natural, stained, glazed, or antiqued and in various sizes ranging from 6.5 to 41 cm in height.
