Madonna of Love with Child | Solid wood figure | available in various finishes and sizes | Made in South Tyrol

In the Catholic and Orthodox churches, saints have a long tradition and are depicted as sculptures or in paintings. Believers call upon the saints to intercede on their behalf. These figures are an important element for faithful people not just during the Christmas season, but throughout the entire year. The depiction of Mary as the Mother of God, with or without the child, is also known as an image of Mary or a Madonna portrait. Saint Mary is a symbol of innocence and the Immaculate Conception. This classic depiction of the Mother of God with the infant Jesus is crafted from solid wood and hand-painted.
The Madonna with child is available natural, stained, glazed, or antiqued and in various sizes from 10 to 41 cm in height.
