Gardening is even more fun with our border shovel! Thanks to its raised sides, this shovel can be used to move loose materials such as sand, mulch, sawdust or road salt without spilling them. The border shovel features a sturdy, hardened sheet steel blade and a high-quality hardwood handle. It is made by an Austrian company with a long tradition and 250 years of experience in toolmaking. The sheet steel is crafted into a first-class tool using authentic forging techniques.

Thanks to its raised sides, this shovel can also safely scoop up and move large quantities of loose materials such as sand, mulch, sawdust or road salt without spilling them. The border shovel has a shovel head made from dip-painted, hardened sheet steel with a working width of 28 cm. The handle and head are connected by a rolled socket with 2 locking lugs. The 130 cm-long, slightly curved hardwood handle is made from untreated beechwood sourced from sustainably managed forests.
Only electricity from the company’s own hydropower is used to manufacture the shovel. Thanks to its own biomass plant, painted products can be dried carbon-neutrally. Using resources sparingly and making optimal use of the materials required is, of course, very much in keeping with our values—so the border shovel is a durable and sustainable product.

Ergonomic tip: Make your work easier and upgrade for maximum control! A comfort D-grip provides optimal power transfer when doing heavy work such as shoveling, digging or trenching, protects your wrists and prevents the handle from twisting painfully under load.
