The basswood handle is compatible with our hay rakes and wire-frame rakes. Basswood is of very high quality and has proven itself to be the best for rake handles for centuries. The handle can also be used for brooms or other garden tools. The clever tapering at the handle end results in increased stability and optimal handling during use. While straight cylindrical handles would be easier to manufacture, this innovative shape has proven itself through its advantages over centuries.

The wood is selected by a traditional rake maker. This incorporates many years of experience, which mostly dates back to the time of our grandparents. The wood is dried for 3 years to ensure the highest quality.
For centuries, basswood has been the first choice when it comes to rake handles. The handle is double-tapered - This means that it tapers towards the handle end. This shape has developed and proven itself over the centuries. The wood is very lightweight, fibrous, and does not warp.
Usage note: Please note that the rake is not suitable for heavy-duty work, such as turning over soil.
