‘DUO’ combination whetstone | fine and coarse grit | for home and garden

A great addition to our sharpening stone and household range is our ‘DUO’ whetstone. Its two sides with different grits make it a true all-rounder. The coarser grey side is ideal for sharpening mower blades, axes and spades, while the green side with the finer grit is designed for scythes, sickles and knives. The whetstone can be used dry or wet, with either water or oil.

Tip: Simply soak the sharpening stone in water for 10–15 minutes before use and allow it to absorb the water. In a water-filled container, the whetstone is always ready to use.

The high-quality whetstone is made of 100% silicon carbide and is manufactured by a family-run company in Germany with more than 4 generations of experience. Compared to our other whetstones, ‘Duo’ consists of 2 different sides with different grits. The grey side of the stone, with a grit of CD100V, is ideal for sharpening mower blades, axes and spades thanks to its rough surface. The other side, coloured light turquoise-green, has a finer surface with a grit of CG180 and can therefore be used for scythes, sickles and knives. Both sides can be used both dry and wet (with water or oil). The ‘DUO’ whetstone is unique in its quality and durability and guarantees particularly good results with an extra-fine finish.

Use

Simply soak the sharpening stone in water for 10–15 minutes before use and allow it to absorb the water. The lubricating effect of adding water during sharpening helps to save effort and protect the material.
