The Christmas nativity scene 'Bethlehem'' is manufactured in a metal and wood design manufactory based in the Bavarian Forest.

Around 30 creative minds, from designers and finishers to carpenters, work together as a team in various areas and departments, creating unique and detail-oriented metal pieces by hand. Great importance is placed on regionality and in-house production.

When producing rust-patinated metal, purified steel and iron are immersed in a bluing solution. The outermost layer of the metal is altered in the process. The process increases the resistance to corrosion and improves the aesthetic appearance of all metal parts used.
