Our plum brandy has a complex aroma. The sensation of a freshly picked, pitted plum in your mouth has wonderfully found its way into the glass. Its intensely fruity, fresh aroma is a delight for the palate.

Whether enjoyed as a traditional welcome schnapps, an aperitif or a digestif, plum brandy is an all-rounder. It is also ideal as an ingredient in cocktails or for adding a finishing touch to desserts.

The base ingredient for schnapps is fruit, which is used to make the spirit by fermenting fruit juices or mash, or by steeping (macerating) berries and fruit in alcohol. After fermentation, the mixture is distilled. The alcohol content of the distillate is reduced to drinking strength by adding water. The schnapps is then left to mature for several years in glass demijohns before bottling.

This fine brandy is produced at a small distillery in Bavaria. To ensure a high-quality end product, the fruit used is carefully harvested, inspected and processed.

Our philosophy when distilling schnapps is to produce only a raw spirit and a fine spirit. This means the schnapps is distilled twice. The benefit of this process is that the spirits are not distilled to an excessively high degree of purity; however, this means they need a longer maturation period in glass demijohns.
